Pie has it pretty much right. White is all of the colors in the light spectrum at once. But in art, black is the presence of all colors (hues/pigments), which is just really red, blue, and yellow... If I remember right.

But yeah, you can spend about the cost of black dye plus vellum and get the tats that come black... And be covered in barbwire... o.o

Yes, but he didn't say he was unsatisfied with the scars-he is unsatisfied with the dye, which is clearly indicated in the title.
